Island Peak Climb leads you above 6,189 m / 20,305 ft high, rewards you with exceptional panorama from its summit top, overlooking Mt. Everest 8,848 m, Mt. Lhotse 8,516 m, Mt. Nuptse 7,855 m, Mt. Pumori 7,161 m, Amadablam 6,812 m, Khangtiaga 6,782 m, Tharmarserku 6,623 m, Kongde 6,011 m, as far towards world’s 5th highest Mt. Makalu 8,463 m with Lobuche Peak 6,119 m and Pokhalde Peak 5,806 m.
A small scale mountaineering climb with an adventure in one of Nepal Himalaya most striking trekking peaks on top Island Peak, also called Imjatse Himal due to its location in the middle of scenic and beautiful Imjatse valley, near Dingboche and Chukung settlement. The grade of Island Peak Climb graded as PD + which means in French and Swiss Alpine Climbing Classification as ‘Per Difficult’ a straight-forward climb with some technical skill required in some section of the climb, where our expert guides supports you all the way to the summit and assist safely back.
Island Peak Climb an adventure with combination with Everest base camp and Kalapathar a scenic view-point hill for amazing panorama of surrounding peaks with closest views of Mt. Everest beside from top of Island peak. Walk starts from Lukla after a short exciting flight from Kathmandu where our route leads into nice farm villages of Sherpa interwoven with fascinating and impressive Buddhist religion and culture, with time to immerse within its old traditional custom with tour of old monastery on route trekking.
Having rest days for acclimatization at colorful large village of Namche Bazaar and then walking higher areas to Thyangboche Monastery surrounded by array of peaks and serene woodland, as our adventure continues first reaching at Everest base camp, and then heading towards our main goal and highlight at the base of Island Peak.
After enough walking exercise on high altitude with final preparation at the base camp where an early morning climb leads you on top of Island peak with strenuous and tough ascent to reach the summit, where you feel in high spirit after accomplishing great success and then head back to Lukla for sweeping flight to Kathmandu to complete this wonderful adventure on Island peak climb.
Day 01: Welcome to Kathmandu (1,350 m / 4,429 ft) N transfer to hotel
Day 02: Full day in Kathmandu with half day guided tour N trek preparation
Day 03: Fly to Lukla N commence trek to Phakding (2,640 m / 8,661 ft): 40 minutes air journey N 3 hours walking
Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m / 11,286 ft): 6 hrs
Day 05: Rest day at Namche Bazaar for high acclimatization (optional side trip around)
Day 06: Trek to Thyangboche Monastery (3,867 m / 11286 ft): 5 hrs
Day 07: Trek to Pheriche (4,240 m / 13,910 ft): 5 hrs
Day 08: Rest day at Pheriche for high acclimatization with short scenic excursion
Day 09: Trek to Lobuche (4,930 m / 16,174 ft): 5/6 hrs
Day 10: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364 m / 17,598 ft) N back to Gorakshep (5,180 m / 16,994 ft): 7 hrs
Day 11: Hike to Kalapathar (5,545 m / 18,192 ft) N trek to Chhukung (4,730 m / 15,518 ft): 6 hrs
Day 12: Trek to Island Peak base camp (4,970 m / 16,305 ft): 4 hrs
Day 13: Trek to Island Peak High Camp/ Advance Camp (5,400 m / 17,716 ft): 4 hrs
Day 14: Climb to Island Peak summit (6,189 m / 20,305 ft) N return to base camp – 8/9 hrs
Day 15: Trek to Pangboche (3,900 m / 12,795 ft): 5 hrs
Day 16: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m / 11,286 ft): 6 hrs
Day 17: Trek to Lukla (2,830 m / 9,284 ft): 6/7 hrs
Day 18: Reserve day just in case flight cancellation
Day 19: Fly to Kathmandu N transfer to hotel- 40 minutes air journey
Day 20: Leisure day in Kathmandu for sightseeing, relaxing N shopping
Day 21: Transfer to airport for onward destination

Please Note: Flight from Kathmandu-Lukla-Kathmandu in small aircraft (Dornier-Twin Otter or similar smaller Plane), where sometimes daily schedule normal flight can get delayed on both sides Kathmandu and at Lukla leading to cancellation due bad and unfavorable weather condition.
In this case our trekking staff and guides as well office in Kathmandu will make necessary arrangements to minimize your convenience as much as possible within the company control, where some might need to be evacuated by other means of transport like Helicopter Service.
