Chulu East Peak Climb, an adventure beyond northern side of massive Annapurna Himalaya within peaks of Chulu range around scenic and beautiful Manang valley facing glorious views of high snow capped peaks and magnificent landscapes. Chulu East Peak Nepal highest trekking peaks at above 6,584 m / 21,727 ft high which you can find as listed in NMA (Nepal Mountaineering Association), truly a fascinating adventure on high valley above Manang, where walk leads you into complete wilderness of pristine environment.
For some days walking beyond human settlement and villages in the harmony of high peaks that surrounds Chulu East Peak with Damodar Himal in the north, Annapurna peaks towards south, with Chulus and Pisang within its range. Chulu East peak climb leads to warm areas of Lamjung district after an interesting overland journey from Kathmandu, and then following raging Marysangdi River upstream right up to its glacial source in Manang valley.
As walk progress leading from paddy fields to reach cooler alpine hills covered with nice woodland of rhododendron-pines-oaks and fir tree lines as route leads through lovely villages of Jagat-Tal-Dharapani and Chame headquarter town of Manang district. From Chame where walk leads into high and dry beautiful Manang valley at Pisang village, and then towards our main goal and highlight reaching at Chulu East Peak base camp for exciting and interesting ascent on top Nepal highest trekking peaks.
The climb is determined after much rest days for acclimatization and practice with full preparation for the long haul to the summit of Chulu East Peak, rewards you with spectacular panorama of mountains and unique views of Manang valley and beyond. After a great climb heading toward main trail of Annapurna circuit to reach at main Manang village with time explore its interesting Buddhist culture and custom visiting old monastery and then towards high Thorang-La pass above 5,416 m facing amazing views.
From Thorang-La and easy descend to reach at Mustang district in holy Muktinath temple premises where our adventurous walks and climb completes with a short drive to Jomsom, a headquarter town of Mustang, and home of Thakali people located on old Trans-Himalayan Salt Trade Trail of Nepal and Tibet. From Jomsom a short scenic flight takes you scenic and most beautiful city in Pokhara by its serene Phewa Lake with views of Annapurna and magnificent Machhapuchare Himal ‘Fish Tail’ peak.
Chulu East Peak Climb and adventure ends in Pokhara, where drive takes you back to Kathmandu to end this awesome Himalayan journey and adventure.
Day 01: Welcome to Kathmandu, Nepal (1,350 m / 4,429 ft)
Day 02: Full day in Kathmandu with half day guided tour N trek preparation
Day 03: Drive to Besisahar unto Chamje (1,430 m / 4,691 ft): 9/10 hours road journey
Day 04: Trek to Dharapani (1,860 m / 6,102 ft): 6 hrs
Day 05: Trek to Chame (2,670 m / 9,055 ft): 6 hrs
Day 06: Trek to Upper Pisang (3,300 m / 10,826 ft): 6 hrs
Day 07: Trek to Ngwal (3,660 m / 12,007 ft): 4 hrs
Day 08: Rest day at Ngwal for high acclimatization
Day 09: Trek to Julu (3,900 m / 12,795 ft): 6 hrs
Day 10: Trek to Chulu East Base Camp (5,300 m / 17,388 ft): 4 hrs
Day 11: Rest day at Base Camp (climbing preparation)
Day 12: Climb to Chulu East (6,429 m / 21,092 ft) N return to base camp
Day 13: Trek to Manang (3,540 m / 11,614 ft) via Ngwal (3,660 m / 12,007 ft): 6 hrs
Day 14: Trek to Ledar (4,200 m / 13,779 ft): 3/4 hrs
Day 15: Trek to Throng High Camp (4,925 m / 16,158 ft): 4 hrs
Day 16: Cross Throng La pass (5,416 m / 17,769 ft) N trek to Muktinath (3,760 m / 12,335 ft): 8/9 hrs
Day 17: Trek to Jomsom (2,745 m / 9,005 ft) via Lupra (3,310 m / 10,859 ft): 6 hrs
Day 18: Early morning fly to Pokhara (825 m / 2,706 ft): 20 minute air journey
Day 19: Fly or drive to Kathmandu (20 minutes flight N 7 hrs drive)
Day 20: Leisure day in Kathmandu for sightseeing, relaxing N shopping
Day 21: Transfer to airport for onward destination
